| 2 :219 | يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ ۖ قُلْ فِيهِمَا إِثْمٌ كَبِيرٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَإِثْمُهُمَا أَكْبَرُ مِن نَّفْعِهِمَا ۗ وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَۖ قُلِ الْعَفْوَ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُم تَتَفَكَّرُونَ | “They ask you about wine and gambling. Say: ‘In them is great sin, and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit.’ And they ask you what they should spend. Say: ‘The excess [beyond needs].’ Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses that you might give thought.” | “آپ سے شراب اور جوئے کے متعلق سوال کرتے ہیں۔ تم فرمادو: ان دونوں میں کبِیرہ گناہ ہے اور لوگوں کے لیے کچھ دنیوی منافع بھی ہیں، لیکن ان کا گناہ ان کے نفع سے زیادہ بڑا ہے۔ آپ سے سوال کرتے ہیں کہ (اللہ کی راہ میں) کیا خرچ کریں؟ تو آپ فرماؤ: جو زائد بچے۔ اسی طرح اللہ تم سے آیتیں بیان فرماتا ہے تاکہ تم غوروفکر کرو۔” | “Y preguntan por el vino y el juego. Di: «En ambos hay gran pecado y algún beneficio para la gente; pero el pecado de ambos es mayor que su beneficio». Y preguntan qué deben gastar. Di: «Lo que sobre». Así Allah os aclara Sus señales para que reflexionéis.” |
| 4 :43 | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنتُمْ سُكَارَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُوا مَا تَقُولُونَ … | “O you who believe! Do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying; …” | “اے ایمان والو! جب تم نشے کی حالت میں ہو، اس وقت نماز کے قریب نہ جاؤ، جب تک جانتے نہ ہو کہ کیا کہہ رہے ہو۔ …” | “¡Oh vosotros que creéis! No os acerquéis a la oración estando vosotros en estado de embriaguez hasta que sepáis lo que decís; …” |
| 5 :90 | يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنْصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ | “O you who believe! Intoxicants and gambling and idols and divining arrows are but the uncleanness (rijs) of Satan’s handiwork – so avoid them that you may be successful. | “اے ایمان والو! شراب، جوئے، بت اور قرعے یہ سب شیطان کی کارستانیاں ہیں (نجس کام ہیں)۔ لہٰذا ان سے بچو تاکہ تم نیک کام میں کامیاب ہو سکو۔” | “¡Oh vosotros que creéis! En verdad el vino, el juego de azar, los altares de los ídolos y los dardos para sacar la suerte son un abominación obra de Satanás. ¡Huid de ello para que podáis prosperar!” |
| 5 :91 | … إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَـنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَآءَ فِى الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلَوةِ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ مُنْتَهُونَ | “Satan only wants to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants and gambling and to hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from the prayer. So, will you not then abstain? | “شیطان کا مقصد صرف یہ ہے کہ شراب اور جوئے کے ذریعہ تمہارے درمیان عداوت اور بغض پیدا کرے اور تمہیں اللہ کا ذکر اور نماز سے باز رکھے۔ پس کیا تم نہ رکّوگے؟” | “En verdad Satanás sólo pretende sembrar enemistad y odio entre vosotros mediante el vino y el juego, y apartaros del recuerdo de Allah y de la oración. Pues, ¿renunciaréis?” |
| 16 :67 | وَمِن ثَمَرَٰتِ النَّخِيلِ وَالْأَعْنَابِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْهُ سَكَرًا وَرِزْقًا حَسَنًا ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | “And from the fruits of the palm-trees and the grape-vines you derive intoxicant and good provision. Indeed in that is a sign for people of understanding. | “اور کھجور اور انگور کے درختوں کے پھلوں سے تم شراب بنا لیتے ہو اور عمدہ روزی بھی۔ جو لوگ عقل رکھتے ہیں ان کے لیے تو اس میں بہت بڑی نشانی ہے۔” | “Y de los frutos de las palmeras y de las vides sacáis una bebida embriagante y un sustento bueno. En ello hay para la gente que razona una señal. |
