وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَىٰ لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامٍ وَاحِدٍ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنبتُ الْأَرْضُ مِن بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّائِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا ۖ قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَىٰ بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ ۚ اهْبِطُوا مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُم مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ ۗ وَصَدَّرْتُمْ (البقرة 2:61)

And when you said, “O Moses, we can never endure one kind of food; so call upon your Lord to bring forth for us of the earth its green herbs, cucumbers, garlic, lentils, and onions.” He said, “Would you exchange that which is better for that which is lower? Descend to a city, for you will have what you have asked.”

اور جب تم نے کہا: اے موسیٰ! ہم ایک قسم کے کھانے پر صبر نہیں کر سکتے، تو اپنے رب سے دعا کرو کہ زمین سے ہمیں سبزیاں، کھیرا، لہسن، دالیں، اور پیاز دے۔ اس نے کہا: کیا تم اچھے کو کمتر کے بدلے بدلنا چاہتے ہو؟ ایک شہر میں اُتر جاؤ، تمہیں وہ مل جائے گا جو تم نے مانگا۔

Y cuando dijisteis: “Oh Moisés, no soportamos un solo tipo de alimento; llama a tu Señor para que nos saque de la tierra sus verduras, pepinos, ajo, lentejas y cebollas.” Él dijo: “¿Queréis cambiar lo mejor por lo inferior? Descended a una ciudad; allí tendréis lo que pedisteis.”

وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَثَرِهِم بِرُسُلِنَا وَجِئْنَاهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِندَهُمْ مِمَّا عِلْمُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِمُ الْعِلْمُ ۖ فَلَمْ يَكْفُرُوا بِهِ فَقَسَطُوا (الأعراف 7:169)

And We followed them with Our messengers, and We brought them clear proofs. But when the messengers came to them with clear signs, they rejoiced in what they already had of knowledge, but knowledge encompassed them, yet they did not believe in it and became unjust.

پھر ہم نے اپنے رسولوں کو ان کے بعد بھیجا اور ان کے پاس واضح دلائل بھیجے۔ لیکن جب ہمارے رسول ان کے پاس واضح نشانیوں کے ساتھ آئے تو وہ اپنی معلومات کی خوشی میں خوش ہوئے، لیکن علم نے انہیں گھیر لیا اور وہ اس پر ایمان نہ لائے اور ظالم ہو گئے۔

Y les sucedimos con Nuestros mensajeros y les trajimos claras pruebas. Pero cuando los mensajeros vinieron con signos claros, se alegraron de lo que ya sabían, aunque el conocimiento los envolvió, y no creyeron, y se volvieron injustos.

وَإِذْ نَجَّيْنَاكُم مِّن آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَاءكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءكُمْ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلاءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ (البقرة 2:49)

And when We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaying your sons and sparing your women, and therein was a great trial from your Lord.

اور جب ہم نے تمہیں فرعون کے لوگوں سے نجات دی جو تم پر سخت عذاب ڈالتے، تمہارے بیٹوں کو قتل کرتے اور عورتوں کو زندہ رکھتے، یہ سب تمہارے رب کی طرف سے بڑا امتحان تھا۔

Y cuando os salvamos del pueblo de Faraón, que os infligía el peor tormento, matando a vuestros hijos y dejando vivas a vuestras mujeres; en ello había una gran prueba de vuestro Señor.

وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُونَ فِيهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ (البقرة 2:281)

And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah. Then every soul will be fully compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged.

اور اس دن سے ڈرو جب تم اللہ کے پاس لوٹائے جاؤ گے، پھر ہر جان کو اس کے کام کا پورا بدلہ دیا جائے گا اور ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا جائے گا۔

Y temed un Día en que seréis devueltos a Allah. Entonces cada alma recibirá completamente lo que haya ganado, y no se les hará injusticia.

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى نَحْنُ أَبْنَاءُ اللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّاؤهُ ۖ قُلْ فَلِمَّا يَعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُمْ ۖ بَلْ أَنتُم قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ (المائدة 5:18)

And the Jews and the Christians said, “We are the children of Allah and His beloved.” Say, “Then why does He punish you for your sins?” Rather, you are a people who transgress.

اور یہودیوں اور نصاریٰ نے کہا: ہم اللہ کے بیٹے اور محبوب ہیں۔ کہو: پھر وہ تمہیں تمہارے گناہوں کی وجہ سے کیوں عذاب دیتا ہے؟ بلکہ تم ظالم لوگ ہو۔

Y los judíos y cristianos dijeron: “Somos hijos de Allah y sus favoritos.” Di: “¿Entonces por qué os castiga por vuestros pecados?” Más bien, sois un pueblo que transgrede.

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ (المائدة 5:20)

And We gave the Children of Israel the Scripture, the judgment, and the prophecy, and provided them with good things, and preferred them above the worlds.

اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو کتاب، حکمت اور نبوت دی اور انہیں پاکیزہ رزق دیا اور انہیں تمام جہان والوں پر فضیلت دی۔

Y dimos a los Hijos de Israel la Escritura, el juicio y la profecía, y les proveímos de cosas buenas, y los favorecimos sobre los mundos.

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِيثَاقَهُمْ لَعَنَّاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَاسِيَةً يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِ وَنَسُوا حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ ۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطْلُبُهُمْ عَيْنٌ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا مَا لَهَا وَلَا يَزَالُوا فِي غَيٍّ ۚ (المائدة 5:13)

So for breaking their covenant, We cursed them and made their hearts hardened; they distort words from their proper places and forgot a portion of what they were reminded of. And you will still seek them with your eyes until they say, “O woe to us! What has happened to us?” and they will remain in error.

اور اپنی عہد شکنی کی وجہ سے ہم نے انہیں لعنت دی اور ان کے دل سخت کر دیے، وہ کلمات کو اپنی جگہ سے بدل دیتے اور وہ نصیحت کا حصہ بھول گئے۔ اور تم ان کی تلاش کر رہے ہو، یہاں تک کہ وہ کہیں: “ہائے ہماری حالت!” اور وہ گمراہی میں رہیں گے۔

Por quebrar su pacto, los maldecimos y endurecimos sus corazones; distorsionan las palabras de su lugar correcto y olvidaron parte de lo que se les recordó. Seguirás buscándolos con la mirada hasta que digan: “¡Ay de nosotros! ¿Qué nos ha sucedido?” y seguirán en error.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الَّذِينَ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْقِسْطِ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ (آل عمران 3:21)

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the prophets without right and kill those who order justice among the people — give them tidings of a painful punishment.

بے شک جو لوگ اللہ کی آیات کا انکار کرتے اور نبیوں کو ناحق قتل کرتے اور لوگوں میں عدل کے احکام دینے والوں کو قتل کرتے ہیں — انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خوشخبری سناؤ۔

Ciertamente, aquellos que niegan los signos de Allah y matan a los profetas injustamente y matan a quienes ordenan la justicia entre la gente — anunciadles un doloroso castigo.

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا إِلَيْهِم رُّسُلًا ۖ فَكُلَّمَا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰ أَنفُسُهُمْ كَذَّبُوهُ وَبَعَضَهُمْ يَقْتُلُونَ (المائدة 5:70)

And We took the covenant of the Children of Israel and sent to them messengers. And whenever a messenger came to them with what their souls did not desire, they denied him, and some of them they killed.

اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل سے عہد لیا اور ان کے پاس رسول بھیجے۔ جب بھی انہیں کوئی رسول وہ چیز لے کر آتا جو ان کی خواہش کے خلاف ہوتا تو وہ اسے جھٹلاتے اور ان میں سے کچھ کو وہ قتل کر دیتے۔

Y tomamos el pacto de los Hijos de Israel y les enviamos mensajeros. Y cada vez que venía a ellos un mensajero con lo que sus almas no deseaban, lo negaban y algunos de ellos lo mataban.

وَلَقَدْ بَوَّأْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي الْبَقْعِ الْمَقْدُوسِ… وَآتَيْنَاهُم مِنَ الْآتِيَتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ (المائدة 5:21–22) (context)

Context: Allah describes the blessings and covenant with the Children of Israel — then later verses (70) explain that despite blessings, they rejected messengers and some were killed.

سیاق: اللہ نے بنی اسرائیل کو بہت سی نعمتیں دیں — پھر اگلی آیات (70) بتاتی ہیں کہ انہوں نے رسولوں کا انکار کیا اور کچھ کو وہ قتل بھی کر بیٹھے۔

Contexto: Allah describe las bendiciones al Pueblo de Israel — luego, en el contexto de 5:70, se menciona que rechazaron mensajeros y algunos los mataron.

وَبِئْسَمَا قَدَّمَتْهُمْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ (آل عمران 3:180) (context)

Context: Verse referring to some Jews’ claim about God’s provision, followed by mention of their killing of prophets without right in context of rejection.

سیاق: کچھ یہودیوں کے دعوے کے بارے میں ہے، جس کے ساتھ نبیوں کو ناحق قتل کرنے کی نشاندہی بھی کی گئی ہے۔

Contexto: Se refiere a la gente que negaba las señales de Allah y, en ese contexto, a su acto de matar profetas injustamente.

وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَـٰمُوسَىٰ لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامٍ وَٰحِدٍ فَٱادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِن مَّا تُنۢبِتُ الْأَرْضُ مِنۢ بَقۡلِهَا وَقِثَّآئِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا ۖ قَالَ أَتَسۡتَبۡدِلُونَ ٱلَّذِى هُوَ أَدۡنَىٰ بِٱلَّذِى هُوَ خَيْرٌ ۚ ٱهۡبِطُوا۟ مِصۡرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُم مَّا سَأَلۡتُمۡ ۗ وَضُرِبَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلذِّلَّةُ وَٱلۡمَسۡكَنَةُ وَبَآؤُا۟ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ يَكۡفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقۡتُلُونَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَعۡتَدُونَ (البقرة 2:61)

And when you said, “O Moses! We cannot endure the same food. So call upon your Lord….” Moses said: “Do you take the inferior in exchange for the better?” … They were covered with disgrace and misery and drew on themselves Allah’s anger because they disbelieved in Allah’s signs and killed the prophets unjustly.

اور جب تم نے کہا، اے موسیٰ! ہم ایک ہی کھانے پر صبر نہیں کر سکتے… موسیٰ نے کہا: کیا تم بہتر کے بدلے کم تر کو اختیار کرنا چاہتے ہو؟ … پھر ان پر ذلت اور تنگدستی نازل ہوئی اور انہوں نے اپنے رب کے ناراضگی کو اپنے لئے طلب کیا کیونکہ وہ اللہ کی آیات کا انکار کرتے اور نبیوں کو ناحق قتل کرتے تھے۔

Y cuando dijisteis: “Oh Moisés, no soportamos el mismo alimento…” Moisés dijo: “¿Queréis intercambiar lo inferior por lo mejor?” … Entonces les cubrió la vergüenza y la miseria y atrajeron sobre sí la ira de Allah porque ellos no creyeron en las señales de Allah y mataban a los profetas injustamente.
