| Al-Baqarah 2:172 | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِن طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِلَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ | O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is indeed Him that you worship. | اے ایمان والو! جو پاکیزہ چیزیں ہم نے تمہیں دی ہیں ان میں سے کھاؤ اور اللہ کا شکر ادا کرو اگر تم اسی کی عبادت کرتے ہو۔ | ¡Vosotros que creéis! Comed de las cosas buenas con que os hemos proveído y agradeced a Dios, si es a Él a Quien servís. |
| Al-Baqarah 2:173 | إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ بِهِ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring it nor transgressing, there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. | اللہ نے تم پر صرف مردار، خون، سور کا گوشت اور جس پر اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کا نام لیا گیا ہو حرام کیا ہے۔ پھر جو مجبوری میں ہو، نہ خواہش کرے اور نہ حد سے بڑھے، تو اس پر کوئی گناہ نہیں۔ بےشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے۔ | Os ha prohibido la carne mortecina, la sangre, la carne de cerdo y aquello sobre lo que se haya invocado un nombre diferente del de Dios. Pero quien se vea forzado, sin deseo ni exceso, no comete pecado. Dios es indulgente, misericordioso. |
| Al-Ma’idah 5:4 | يَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ اللَّهُ فَكُلُوا مِمَّا أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ | They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say: Lawful for you are all good foods and what you have taught your hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is swift in account. | وہ تم سے پوچھتے ہیں کہ ان کے لیے کیا حلال کیا گیا ہے؟ کہہ دو: تمہارے لیے پاکیزہ چیزیں حلال کی گئی ہیں اور وہ شکار بھی جو تم نے سکھائے ہوئے شکاری جانور پکڑ کر تمہارے لیے محفوظ کریں۔ پس اس میں سے کھاؤ اور اس پر اللہ کا نام لو، اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو۔ بے شک اللہ جلد حساب لینے والا ہے۔ | Te preguntan qué se les ha permitido. Di: «Se os han permitido las cosas buenas y lo que los animales de presa que habéis adiestrado para cazar, enseñándoles de lo que Dios os ha enseñado, atrapen para vosotros. Comed, pues, de lo que os atrapen y mencionad el nombre de Dios sobre ello». Temed a Dios. Dios es rápido en ajustar cuentas. |
| Al-Ma’idah 5:5 | الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ… | This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them… | آج تمہارے لیے پاکیزہ چیزیں حلال کر دی گئی ہیں، اور اہل کتاب کا کھانا تمہارے لیے حلال ہے اور تمہارا کھانا ان کے لیے حلال ہے… | Hoy se os han hecho lícitas las cosas buenas. La comida de quienes recibieron la Escritura es lícita para vosotros, y vuestra comida es lícita para ellos… |

| Al-Waqi‘ah 56:20-21 (Paradise) | وَفَاكِهَةٍ مِمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ | And fruit of what they select, and the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. | اور جو میوے وہ پسند کریں گے، اور پرندوں کا گوشت جو وہ چاہیں گے۔ | Y fruta, la que elijan, y carne de ave, la que deseen. |
| Muhammad 47:15 (Paradise) | مَثَلُ الْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ فِيهَا أَنْهَارٌ مِّن مَّاءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّن لَّبَنٍ لَّمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّنْ خَمْرٍ لَّذَّةٍ لِّلشَّارِبِينَ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّنْ عَسَلٍ مُّصَفًّى… | The example of Paradise, which the righteous are promised: wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk whose taste does not change, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey… | پرہیزگاروں سے جس جنت کا وعدہ کیا گیا ہے اس کی صفت یہ ہے کہ اس میں پانی کی نہریں ہوں گی جو بدبو نہ کرے گی، اور دودھ کی نہریں ہوں گی جس کا ذائقہ نہ بدلے گا، اور شراب کی نہریں ہوں گی جو پینے والوں کے لیے لذیذ ہوگی، اور شہد کی نہریں ہوں گی جو صاف ستھری ہوگی… | El ejemplo del Jardín prometido a los temerosos: en él hay ríos de agua incorruptible, ríos de leche cuyo sabor no cambia, ríos de vino, delicioso para los que beben, y ríos de miel purificada… |
| Al-Insan 76:13-14 (Paradise) | مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسًا وَلَا زَمْهَرِيرًا وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلَالُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًا | Reclining therein on adorned couches. They will not see therein any [burning] sun or [freezing] cold. And near above them are its shades, and its clusters of fruit made hanging low. | وہ وہاں تختوں پر ٹیک لگائے بیٹھے ہوں گے، وہاں نہ دھوپ دیکھیں گے اور نہ سردی۔ اور اس کے پھل ان پر جھکائے گئے ہوں گے۔ | Estarán reclinados en lechos. No verán allí sol abrasador ni frío intenso. Sus sombras estarán cerca de ellos, y sus frutos serán puestos a su alcance. |
| Al-Dukhan 44:43-46 (Hell) | إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّومِ طَعَامُ الْأَثِيمِ كَالْمُهْلِ يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ | Indeed, the tree of zaqqum is food for the sinful. Like murky oil, it boils within bellies like the boiling of scalding water. | بے شک زقوم کا درخت گناہگار کا کھانا ہے۔ وہ پیٹ میں یوں کھولے گا جیسے کھولتا ہوا پانی۔ | El árbol de Zaqqum será el alimento del pecador. Como metal fundido hervirá en sus entrañas, como hierve el agua en ebullición. |
| Al-Ghashiyah 88:6-7 (Hell) | لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ لَا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِن جُوعٍ | They will have no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. | ان کے لیے کوئی کھانا نہیں ہوگا مگر ایک کانٹے دار جھاڑی، جو نہ موٹا کرے اور نہ بھوک مٹائے۔ | No tendrán otro alimento que espinas secas, que no engordan ni quitan el hambre. |
| Al-Saffat 37:62-66 (Hell) | أَذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّالِمِينَ إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَآكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ | Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. It is a tree issuing from the bottom of Hell. Its emerging fruit is as if heads of devils. And indeed, they will eat from it and fill their bellies with it. | کیا یہ بہتر ہے مہمانی کے لیے یا زقوم کا درخت؟ بے شک ہم نے اسے ظالموں کے لیے آزمائش بنایا ہے۔ یہ ایک درخت ہے جو جہنم کے تلے سے نکلتا ہے۔ اس کا پھل گویا شیطانوں کے سر ہیں۔ وہ اس سے کھائیں گے اور اپنے پیٹ بھر لیں گے۔ | ¿Es mejor hospedaje éste o el árbol de Zaqqum? Lo hemos puesto como prueba para los impíos. Es un árbol que brota del fondo del Infierno. Sus frutos son como cabezas de demonios. Comerán de él y llenarán con él sus vientres. |
