| Surah Al-Baqarah (2:124) | وَإِذِ ابْتَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَبُّهُۥ بِكَلِمَـٰتٍۢ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّى جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًۭا ۖ قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ | And when Abraham was tested by his Lord with commands and he fulfilled them, He said, “Indeed, I will make you an Imam for the people.” Abraham said, “And of my descendants?” He said, “My covenant does not include the wrongdoers.” | اور جب ابراہیم کو اس کے رب نے چند باتوں میں آزمایا اور اس نے انہیں پورا کر دکھایا، تو اللہ نے فرمایا: ”میں تمہیں لوگوں کا امام بنانے والا ہوں۔“ | Y cuando su Señor puso a prueba a Abraham con mandatos que cumplió, Él dijo: “Ciertamente te haré un imán para la gente.” |
| Surah At-Tawbah (9:12) | وَإِن نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَـٰنَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ فَقَـٰتِلُوٓا۟ أَئِمَّةَ ٱلْكُفْرِ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَآ أَيْمَـٰنَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنتَهُونَ | And if they break their oaths after their treaty and attack your religion, then fight the leaders (a’immah) of disbelief. | پھر اگر وہ اپنی قسمیں توڑ دیں اور تمہارے دین پر حملہ کریں تو کفر کے سرداروں (ائمہ) سے لڑو۔ | Si quebrantan sus juramentos tras su pacto y atacan vuestra religión, combatid a los líderes de la incredulidad. |
| Surah Al-Isra (17:71) | يَوْمَ نَدْعُوا۟ كُلَّ أُنَاسٍۢ بِإِمَـٰمِهِمْ ۖ فَمَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَـٰبَهُمْ… | The Day We will call every people with their Imam. Then whoever is given his book in his right hand — they will read their book… | جس دن ہم ہر گروہ کو اس کے امام کے ساتھ بلائیں گے۔ پھر جسے اس کا نامۂ اعمال داہنے ہاتھ میں دیا جائے گا… | El día en que convocaremos a toda gente con su imán. Y quien reciba su libro en la derecha… |
| Surah Al-Anbiya (21:73) | وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةًۭ يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ ٱلْخَيْرَاتِ … | And We made them Imams guiding by Our command, and We inspired them to do good deeds… | اور ہم نے ان کو امام بنایا جو ہمارے حکم سے رہنمائی کرتے تھے… | Y los convertimos en líderes que guiaban por Nuestro mandato… |
| Surah Al-Qasas (28:5) | وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةًۭ وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ | And We wished to show favor to those oppressed in the land and make them Imams and inheritors. | اور ہم چاہتے تھے کہ زمین میں کمزور سمجھے جانے والوں پر مہربانی کریں اور انہیں امام بنائیں اور وارث بنائیں۔ | Y quisimos favorecer a los oprimidos de la tierra y hacerlos líderes y herederos. |
| Surah Al-Qasas (28:41) | وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةًۭ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ ۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ لَا يُنصَرُونَ | And We made them leaders inviting to the Fire… | اور ہم نے انہیں سردار بنایا جو آگ کی طرف بلاتے تھے… | Y los convertimos en líderes que llamaban al Fuego… |
| Surah As-Sajdah (32:24) | وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ أَئِمَّةًۭ يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوا۟ … | And We made from among them Imams guiding by Our command when they were patient… | اور ہم نے ان میں سے بعض کو امام بنایا جو ہمارے حکم سے رہنمائی کرتے تھے… | E hicimos de ellos líderes que guiaban por Nuestro mandato… |
| Surah Ya-Sin (36:12) | إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا۟ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ | Indeed, We give life to the dead and record what they have sent ahead and their traces; everything We have enumerated in a clear Book (Imam Mubeen). | بے شک ہم مردوں کو زندہ کرتے ہیں اور جو وہ آگے بھیجتے ہیں اور جو اثرات چھوڑتے ہیں سب لکھتے ہیں، اور ہر چیز کو ہم نے امام مبین میں شمار کر رکھا ہے۔ | Ciertamente, damos vida a los muertos y registramos sus obras… y todo lo hemos enumerado en un Libro claro (Imam Mubeen). |
| Surah Al-Ahqaf (46:12) | وَمِن قَبْلِهِۦ كِتَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِمَامًۭا وَرَحْمَةًۭ ۚ … | And before it was the Scripture of Moses as an Imam and mercy… | اور اس سے پہلے موسیٰ کی کتاب تھی جو امام اور رحمت تھی… | Y antes de él estuvo el Libro de Moisés como guía (imán) y misericordia… |
