Surah Al-Lahab – Why Miracle.

Abu Lahab lived about 7–10 years after Surah al-Lahab was revealed.

Surah al-Lahab revealed: around 613–615 CE
(early Makkan period, soon after the public call to Islam at Mount Safa)

1تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّMay the hands of Abu Lahab perish, and he has perished.ابو لہب کے دونوں ہاتھ ٹوٹ گئے اور وہ خود ہلاک ہو گیا¡Perezcan las manos de Abu Lahab, y él mismo perezca!
2مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَHis wealth and whatever he earned did not benefit him.اس کا مال اور جو کچھ اس نے کمایا وہ اس کے کسی کام نہ آیاDe nada le sirvieron sus bienes ni lo que adquirió
3سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍHe will burn in a Fire of blazing flame.وہ جلد بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ میں داخل ہوگاArderá en un fuego llameante
4وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِAnd his wife as well — the carrier of firewood.اور اس کی بیوی بھی، جو لکڑیاں اٹھانے والی ہےY también su esposa, la que acarreaba leña
5فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍAround her neck will be a rope of twisted fiber.اس کی گردن میں مونجھ کی رسی ہوگیAlrededor de su cuello habrá una cuerda de fibra retorcida

Abu Lahab never accepted Islam, despite the surah explicitly condemning him by name.

He witnessed Islam spread, Muslims migrate to Madinah, and Quraysh suffer defeat at Badr.

He did not die in battle — he died a few days after Badr from a repulsive contagious disease (often identified as ‘adasa, a plague-like illness).

Even his family avoided touching his body due to fear of infection.
