Al-Ma’idah 5:82 (Christians closest in affection)
لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
You will surely find the most intense in hostility toward the believers to be the Jews and those who associate others with Allah; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.
تم یقیناً ایمان والوں کے لیے سب سے زیادہ دشمن یہود اور مشرکین کو پاؤ گے، اور سب سے زیادہ محبت میں قریب ان لوگوں کو پاؤ گے جو کہتے ہیں ہم نصاریٰ ہیں، کیونکہ ان میں عالم اور راہب ہیں اور وہ تکبر نہیں کرتے۔
Encontrarás que los más hostiles a los creyentes son los judíos y los idólatras, y los más cercanos en afecto son quienes dicen: “Somos cristianos”, porque entre ellos hay sacerdotes y monjes y no son arrogantes.
Aal-e-Imran 3:55 (Status of followers of Isa)
إِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَا عِيسَىٰ إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
When Allah said: O Isa, I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve, and make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Judgment…
جب اللہ نے فرمایا: اے عیسیٰ! میں تمہیں اٹھا لوں گا اور اپنی طرف بلند کروں گا اور تمہیں کافروں سے پاک کروں گا، اور تمہارے پیروکاروں کو قیامت تک کافروں پر غالب رکھوں گا۔
Cuando Allah dijo: ¡Oh Jesús! Te elevaré hacia Mí y te purificaré de los incrédulos, y haré que quienes te sigan estén por encima de los incrédulos hasta el Día del Juicio.
Al-Ma’idah 5:72 (Warning about divinity of Isa)
لَقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَقَالَ الْمَسِيحُ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمْ
They have certainly disbelieved who say: Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. While the Messiah said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord…
یقیناً کفر کیا ان لوگوں نے جنہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ ہی مسیح ابن مریم ہے، حالانکہ مسیح نے کہا: اے بنی اسرائیل! اللہ کی عبادت کرو جو میرا بھی رب ہے اور تمہارا بھی۔
Han caído en incredulidad quienes dicen: Allah es el Mesías, hijo de María. Pero el Mesías dijo: ¡Oh hijos de Israel! Adorad a Allah, mi Señor y vuestro Señor.
Al-Ma’idah 5:73 (Trinity)
لَقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَاثَةٍ ۘ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ
They have certainly disbelieved who say: Allah is the third of three; and there is no god except One God…
یقیناً کفر کیا ان لوگوں نے جنہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ تین میں کا تیسرا ہے، حالانکہ کوئی معبود نہیں سوائے ایک اللہ کے۔
Han caído en incredulidad quienes dicen: Allah es el tercero de tres, cuando no hay más dios que un solo Dios.
Al-Ma’idah 5:75 (Jesus as messenger)
مَّا الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ ۖ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ
The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger; many messengers passed away before him…
مسیح ابن مریم صرف ایک رسول تھے، ان سے پہلے بھی بہت رسول گزر چکے ہیں۔
El Mesías, hijo de María, no es más que un mensajero; antes de él ya pasaron otros mensajeros.
Al-Ma’idah 5:116 (Day of Judgment dialogue)
وَإِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ أَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُونِي وَأُمِّيَ إِلَٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِحَقٍّ
And when Allah will say: O Isa son of Mary, did you say to the people: Take me and my mother as gods besides Allah? He will say: Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right…
اور جب اللہ فرمائے گا: اے عیسیٰ ابن مریم! کیا تم نے لوگوں سے کہا تھا کہ مجھے اور میری ماں کو اللہ کے سوا معبود بنا لو؟ وہ کہیں گے: تو پاک ہے، میں ایسا کیسے کہتا جس کا مجھے حق نہ تھا۔
Y cuando Allah diga: ¡Oh Jesús hijo de María! ¿Dijiste a la gente: Tomadme a mí y a mi madre como dioses fuera de Allah? Dirá: ¡Gloria a Ti! No me corresponde decir lo que no tengo derecho.
Aal-e-Imran 3:64 (Common ground)
قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْا إِلَىٰ كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ
Say: O People of the Book, come to a word common between us and you—that we worship none but Allah…
کہہ دو: اے اہل کتاب! آؤ ایک ایسی بات کی طرف جو ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان مشترک ہے کہ ہم اللہ کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہ کریں۔
Di: ¡Oh Gente del Libro! Venid a una palabra común entre nosotros y vosotros: que no adoremos sino a Allah.
