MUSLIM CONDUCT TOWARD EACH OTHER

Ayat about how Muslims should conduct themselves toward one another, including not insulting, not labeling each other wrongly, maintaining unity and respect, from the Qur’an.

CLEAR QUR’ANIC RULING (VERY IMPORTANT)

❗ About calling someone “kafir”

  • Qur’an clearly forbids:
    • ❌ Insulting labels
    • ❌ Declaring someone “not a believer” without right (4:94)

👉 So:

  • A Muslim should NOT casually call another Muslim “kafir”
  • Judgment of faith = serious matter, not for individuals without clear proof

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا يَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌ مِّن قَوْمٍ عَسَىٰ أَن يَكُونُوا خَيْرًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَا نِسَاءٌ مِّن نِّسَاءٍ عَسَىٰ أَن يَكُنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُنَّ ۖ وَلَا تَلْمِزُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَلَا تَنَابَزُوا بِالْأَلْقَابِ ۖ بِئْسَ الِاسْمُ الْفُسُوقُ بَعْدَ الْإِيمَانِ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَتُبْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ
O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule another people; perhaps they may be better than them. Nor let women ridicule other women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult yourselves and do not call each other by offensive nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after faith. And whoever does not repent—then it is those who are the wrongdoers.
اے ایمان والو! کوئی قوم دوسری قوم کا مذاق نہ اڑائے، ہو سکتا ہے وہ ان سے بہتر ہوں، اور نہ عورتیں دوسری عورتوں کا مذاق اڑائیں، ہو سکتا ہے وہ ان سے بہتر ہوں، اور آپس میں طعنہ زنی نہ کرو اور ایک دوسرے کو برے القاب سے نہ پکارو، ایمان کے بعد فسق کا نام بہت برا ہے، اور جو توبہ نہ کریں وہی ظالم ہیں۔
¡Oh creyentes! Que un grupo no se burle de otro, pues puede que sean mejores que ellos. Ni mujeres de otras mujeres; puede que sean mejores que ellas. No os insultéis ni os pongáis apodos ofensivos. Qué malo es el nombre de la desobediencia después de la fe. Y quien no se arrepienta, esos son los injustos.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اجْتَنِبُوا كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ الظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ ۖ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا ۚ أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ مَيْتًا فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ
O you who have believed, avoid much suspicion. Indeed, some suspicion is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
اے ایمان والو! بہت سے گمانوں سے بچو، بے شک بعض گمان گناہ ہیں، اور جاسوسی نہ کرو اور نہ تم میں سے کوئی کسی کی غیبت کرے، کیا تم میں سے کوئی پسند کرے گا کہ اپنے مردہ بھائی کا گوشت کھائے؟ تم اسے ناپسند کرو گے، اور اللہ سے ڈرو، بے شک اللہ توبہ قبول کرنے والا مہربان ہے۔
¡Oh creyentes! Evitad muchas sospechas; algunas son pecado. No espiéis ni habléis mal unos de otros. ¿Acaso le gustaría a alguno de vosotros comer la carne de su hermano muerto? Lo detestaríais. Temed a Allah; Allah es indulgente y misericordioso.
إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.
مومن تو آپس میں بھائی بھائی ہیں، پس اپنے دو بھائیوں کے درمیان صلح کرا دو، اور اللہ سے ڈرو تاکہ تم پر رحم کیا جائے۔
Los creyentes son hermanos, así que reconciliad entre vuestros hermanos y temed a Allah para que se os tenga misericordia.
وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَنْ أَلْقَىٰ إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامَ لَسْتَ مُؤْمِنًا تَبْتَغُونَ عَرَضَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فَعِندَ اللَّهِ مَغَانِمُ كَثِيرَةٌ كَذَٰلِكَ كُنتُم مِّن قَبْلُ فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَتَبَيَّنُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا
And do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace, “You are not a believer,” seeking the goods of worldly life; for with Allah are many acquisitions. You yourselves were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed, Allah is ever, of what you do, Aware.
اور جو تمہیں سلام کرے اسے یہ نہ کہو کہ تم مومن نہیں ہو، تم دنیا کی زندگی کا سامان چاہتے ہو، حالانکہ اللہ کے پاس بہت سی غنیمتیں ہیں، تم بھی پہلے ایسے ہی تھے پھر اللہ نے تم پر احسان کیا، پس تحقیق کرو، بے شک اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے باخبر ہے۔
Y no digáis a quien os saluda: “No eres creyente”, buscando los bienes de la vida mundanal. Pues junto a Allah hay abundantes botines. Vosotros mismos erais así antes, y Allah os favoreció; así que verificad. Allah está bien informado de lo que hacéis.
وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا ۚ وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you—when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers.
اور سب مل کر اللہ کی رسی کو مضبوطی سے تھام لو اور تفرقہ نہ ڈالو، اور اللہ کے اس احسان کو یاد کرو جب تم دشمن تھے تو اس نے تمہارے دلوں میں الفت ڈال دی اور تم اس کے فضل سے بھائی بن گئے۔
Aferraos todos juntos a la cuerda de Allah y no os dividáis. Recordad el favor de Allah cuando erais enemigos y unió vuestros corazones, y por Su gracia os convertisteis en hermanos.
