Explanation of Key Verses on Orphans

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:220) |
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ ۖ قُلْ إِصْلَاحٌۭ لَّهُمْ خَيْرٌۭ ۖ |
And they ask you about orphans. Say, “Improvement for them is best.” |
اور وہ تم سے یتیموں کے بارے میں پوچھتے ہیں۔ کہو، ان کے لئے اصلاح بہتر ہے۔ |
Y te preguntan acerca de los huérfanos. Di: “La mejora para ellos es lo mejor”. |
Surah Al-Nisa (4:2) |
وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰٓ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُوا۟ ٱلْخَبِيثَ بِٱلطَّيِّبِ |
And give to the orphans their properties and do not substitute the defective for the good. |
اور یتیموں کے مال انہیں دو اور خبیث کو پاکیزہ سے نہ بدلو۔ |
Y dad a los huérfanos sus bienes y no sustituyáis lo malo por lo bueno. |
Surah Al-Nisa (4:10) |
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَٰلَ ٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ ظُلْمًا إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِى بُطُونِهِمْ نَارًۭا |
Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are consuming fire into their bellies. |
بے شک جو لوگ یتیموں کا مال ناحق کھاتے ہیں، وہ اپنے پیٹوں میں آگ بھر رہے ہیں۔ |
Ciertamente, aquellos que devoran la propiedad de los huérfanos injustamente están consumiendo fuego en sus estómagos. |
Surah Al-Duha (93:6) |
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ |
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? |
کیا اس نے تمہیں یتیم نہیں پایا اور پھر پناہ دی؟ |
¿No te encontró huérfano y te dio refugio? |
Surah Al-Insan (76:8) |
وَيُطْعِمُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسْكِينًۭا وَيَتِيمًۭا وَأَسِيرًا |
And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive. |
اور وہ لوگ باوجود اس کے محبت کرنے کے مسکین، یتیم اور قیدی کو کھانا کھلاتے ہیں۔ |
Y dan comida, a pesar de su amor por ella, al necesitado, al huérfano y al cautivo. |
Surah Al-Balad (90:14-15) |
أَوْ إِطْعَـٰمٌۭ فِى يَوْمٍۭ ذِى مَسْغَبَةٍۢ يَتِيمًۭا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ |
Or feeding on a day of severe hunger an orphan of near relationship. |
یا بھوک کے دن میں قریب کے رشتہ دار یتیم کو کھانا کھلانا۔ |
O alimentar en un día de hambre severa a un huérfano de pariente cercano. |
Surah Al-Fajr (89:17) |
كَلَّا بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ ٱلْيَتِيمَ |
No! But you do not honor the orphan. |
ہرگز نہیں، بلکہ تم یتیم کی عزت نہیں کرتے۔ |
¡No! Pero no honráis al huérfano. |
Surah An-Nisa (4:6) |
وَٱبْتَلُوا۟ ٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغُوا۟ ٱلنِّكَاحَ فَإِنْ ءَانَسْتُم مِّنْهُمْ رُشْدًۭا فَٱدْفَعُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ |
And test the orphans [in their abilities] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgment, release their property to them. |
اور یتیموں کو پرکھتے رہو یہاں تک کہ وہ نکاح کی عمر کو پہنچ جائیں، پھر اگر تم ان میں عقل و شعور پاؤ تو ان کے مال ان کے حوالے کر دو۔ |
Y probad a los huérfanos [en sus habilidades] hasta que alcancen la edad casadera. Luego, si percibís en ellos juicio sano, liberadles su propiedad. |
Surah Al-Hashr (59:7) |
كَىۡ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةًۢ بَيْنَ ٱلۡأَغۡنِيَآءِ مِنكُمۡ |
So that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. |
تاکہ وہ تمہارے دولت مندوں کے درمیان ایک دوسرے کے مال کا نہ بن جائے۔ |
Para que no sea una distribución perpetua entre los ricos de entre vosotros. |
